A bit of a muddly day as we were hoping to visit the children’s centre and hung around waiting for a response from the office which never came! Still, late morning, we went back into the city and visited the reunification palace …
We had a late birthday celebration with some friends, Thuy and Anne ( I met both at the Children’s centre in 2019).

| Stopped by a lovely Buddhist temple |
| Raine left an offering to the Gods - actually it was a jumper that had become stretched and she left for the temple to give to someone who might need a jumper. |
| The Reunification or Independence Palace is a great place to visit. The decor is very late 60s and early 70s |
| These are the gates that tanks crashed through on the last few days of the war in Vietnam. |
| Those loyal to the Americans escaped from the roof top by helicopter . |

| The birthday girls |
| Raine and Thuy's birthdays were a week apart. Any excuse for cake. |
